football, or, as we call it here in the USA, Soccer.
The Scripps Ranch Old Pros sponsor a number of soccer leagues
year 'round in this beautiful community. We play outdoors with eleven
players per team on the pitch. Players must sign up individually,
and then the league puts the teams together randomly based on ability.
Essentially we have two leagues going on an almost continuous basis
on both Sunday mornings, and weeknights on Tuesday and Thursday.
Sunday Soccer has two seasons a year that run February through May
and September into December. Night Soccer also has two seasons a
year that run middle of January through May and middle of July through
November.
Space in all leagues is limited and there are times when not everyone
can play. However, we attempt to provide an enjoyable experience
to all those who participate, regardless of the skill level.
Scripps Ranch residents and beyond can join the fun with the Old
Pros in these social leagues which are among the best in San Diego.
